Chance of showers in store for Winnipeg Saturday
Rain expected to fall after NHL Heritage Classic alumni game
Fans crowding into the Investors Group Field in Winnipeg to watch hockey greats take to the ice can also expect grey skies above and a chance of showers.
The timing of a rainy system between the two games has changed slightly, according to CBC meteorologist John Sauder. The day starts with a mix of sun and cloud with more clouds rolling in for the afternoon, a good condition for the ice.

An approaching low pressure system will bring rain in the late afternoon or evening, which could make "a Messier of the ice," according to a special weather statement from Environment Canada.
"Hopefully this game is a Great One that Finnishes before the rain starts," the statement said.
The rain will continue overnight and taper off Sunday morning, before the Jets take on the Oilers in the afternoon.
