Hiker missing in Whiteshell Provincial Park found
Woman, 33, suffered mild hypothermia after Mantario Trail hike prompted search
A hiker who was reported missing in Whiteshell Provincial Park has been located.
RCMP confirmed a 33-year-old woman reported missing Thursday was found Friday afternoon.
The woman is an avid hiker and set off on the the Mantario Trail to Mantario Lake Wednesday to camp for the night. She was expected back Thursday afternoon but never returned.
RCMP were notified Thursday at 7:30 p.m. The woman's car was found parked near Big Whiteshell Lake at the northern entrance of the Mantario Trail in the park.

The woman took food and a tent with her on the trip but suffered mild hypothermia, RCMP said.
The Mantario Trail is about 60 kilometres long. It's about 25 kilometres from the northern trailhead to Mantario Lake.
