A Winnipeg city councillor has launched a website for people in his ward to complain about the stink.
Coun. Matt Allard, who represents St. Boniface, is inviting residents to use the site to list their odorous complaints — where they think it's coming from, and how it's affecting them.
Earlier this year, Allard complained about a "cocktail of unpleasant smells" wafting through the neighbourhood, sometimes getting so bad it forces people to stay indoors.
He has identified two companies that have been the primary subjects of pungent concerns in the past — a mushroom plant and a rendering facility.
However, while the businesses produce the unpleasant smells, the proper jurisdiction for complaints belongs to the province.
