Money going towards 2 Syrian refugee families who are in Lebanon
There was music, dancing and a lot of fun at the Churchill Park United Church in Winnipeg on Sunday.
The South Osborne Syrian Refugee Initiative held a fundraising concert featuring Juno-nominated children's performer Aaron Burnett.
Tickets cost $10 or $5 for adults accompanying children and all of the money raised will help with living expenses for two sponsored Syrian refugee families who are still in Lebanon.
Funds will also be set aside for when the families arrive in Winnipeg.
There were also 25 free tickets provided for refugee families already in the community.
