Fire crews battled a blaze at a Winnipeg autobody shop Tuesday night.

Emergency crews were called to a building in the 500 block of Dufferin Avenue just before 10:30 p.m. after reports of a fire.

District Chief Ted Humphreys said vehicles on the side of the building were on fire when crews arrived, as were two vehicles across the street.

"It's suspicious," he said, adding the cause of the fires are being investigated as arson. "We have no idea how it was set ... but coincidentally, right across the street, there's two different fires."

Humphreys added damage to the buildings and vehicles was limited.

"Crews did a good job of getting it shut down fast," he said.
