Winnipeg to host western CFL final after Bombers secure top spot

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will host the western final on Nov. 11 after securing the top spot in the division for the third season in a row.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will host the CFL's western final on Nov. 11, after the team secured the top spot in the division for the third season in a row.

With two games left in the regular season, the Bombers are in first place in the West Division, after the B.C. Lions lost against the Calgary Stampeders on Friday, the team announced in a news release late Friday night.

Tickets for the western final are being sold through the Blue Bombers' website. The game will take place Nov. 11 starting at 5:30 p.m. at Winnipeg's IG Field, where the Blue and Gold will take on the winner of the western semifinal slated for Nov. 4 at B.C. Place in Vancouver.

The winner of the western final will head to the 110th Grey Cup on Nov. 19 at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton.

The Bombers' next game is Saturday evening against the Edmonton Elks.
