Winnipeg man, 24, dead after being injured Saturday night: police

A 24-year-old Winnipeg man died in the hospital after police found him seriously injured on a sidewalk on Keenleyside Street.

A 24-year-old Winnipeg man died in the hospital after police found him seriously injured on a sidewalk on Keenleyside Street.

Officers responded to the man lying on the sidewalk between Manhattan Avenue and Kent Road on Saturday at about 11:20 p.m., Winnipeg police said in a statement Sunday.

He was brought to the hospital where he later died.

Winnipeg police's homicide unit is investigating.

Anyone with information, or video surveillance footage, that could help investigators is asked to contact the Winnipeg Police Service homicide unit at 204-986-6508. Tips can also be made to Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS or online.
