Winnipeg Mayor Sam Katz said citizens can expect better snow clearing after Wednesday
Winnipeg Mayor Sam Katz has promised city plowing efforts will be better than they have in recent weeks after a major dump of snow expected on Wednesday.
“I have no doubt in my mind, next snowfall our streets will be cleared the way we expect them to be cleared,” said Katz.
Winnipeg is expected to get between five and 10 centimetres of snow throughout the day.
The comments came after weeks of complaints from citizens unhappy with deeply rutted roads, long delays in plowing residential streets and impassable sidewalks.
