2 Winnipeggers seriously injured in Daniel McIntyre machete attack
A 15-year-old and 18-year-old were taken to hospital following Friday assault on Alverstone Street

Two people were seriously injured in a machete attack early Friday morning in Winnipeg's Daniel McIntyre area.
Police were called around 3:30 a.m. to Alverstone Street between Sargent and Wellington Avenues for a report of an assault with a machete, a news release said on Saturday.
A 15-year-old girl and 18-year-old man were treated at the scene before they were rushed to hospital in critical and unstable condition respectively.
Both parties were soon upgraded to stable condition, police said.
Investigators believe the attackers assaulted the victims and then fled on foot.
