Winnipeg shelter Siloam Mission readies for biggest meal of year
Staff are preparing for the biggest meal of the year at Winnipeg's Siloam Mission.
To avoid long lineups outside on this blustery, rainy Monday, the Princess Avenue mission will open the rear doors of its building to keep people warm and out of the wind.
Entertainment, karaoke, and snacks will be provided while people wait for their sitting.
The Thanksgiving meal will be served between noon and 2 p.m.
Volunteers at Siloam Mission are working very hard to prepare a Thanksgiving dinner for 1300 people. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/cbcmb?src=hash">#cbcmb</a> <a href="http://t.co/86HCDgeLK6">pic.twitter.com/86HCDgeLK6</a>
