Yard waste collection to end Nov. 24

Winnipeggers with leaves or other yard waste they want the city to pick up only have a couple of weeks left to get it to the curb.

The last day of the city's biweekly yard waste collection is Nov. 24.

Area A collection ends the week of Nov. 13-17, while area B collection ends Nov. 20-24. You can find your yard waste collection by visiting Winnipeg.ca/collectionday, downloading the My Waste app or phoning 311.

Yard waste is picked up every other garbage day. It can be placed at the curb in any reusable container without a lid, cardboard boxes or paper yard waste bags.

Yard waste can be put out in unlimited amounts. It includes outside organic materials such as grass clippings, leaves, plants, flowers, bush clippings and small tied bundles of branches no longer than a metre and no heavier than 22 kilograms.
