Montreal anti-radicalization centre handling more calls since Paris attacks
Since the Paris attacks on Nov. 12, Montreal's Centre for the Prevention of Radicalization Leading to Violence has seen an increase in calls. A spokesperson for the centre sat down with CBC's Debra Arbec.
Parents, teachers, and social workers more concerned and more vigilant about warning signs
Since the Paris attacks on Nov. 12, Montreal's Centre for the Prevention of Radicalization Leading to Violence has seen an increase in calls from concerned parents, teachers and social workers.
People have been more concerned and more vigilant, Meriem Rebbani-Gosselin, a spokesperson for the centre told CBC's Debra Arbec.

Warning signs of radicalization for families to look for:
- Changes in their children's behaviour
- Hate speech
- Spending a lot of time on websites that are violent or have violent speech towards specific communities
But these are rare phenomena, so don't be over-vigilant, the centre warns. Just be aware and communicate a lot with children:
- Be interested in your children's life
- If your child has a new group of friends, show interest
