Premier François Legault has made immigration a major focus of his visit to Paris, demanding that the federal government force asylum seekers in Quebec to move elsewhere, including people who have already settled in the province.

Quebec Premier François Legault told reporters during a news conference in Paris on Tuesday that Canada should take inspiration from the European country. Waiting zones in Canada, he added, could be located close to airports or elsewhere on the territory.

While the judge dismissed the claim for punitive damages, she ruled that Air Canada must compensate the workers for their loss of income and social benefits and pay individual claims for those who suffered moral damages, such as divorce.
