Only months after undergoing major renovations, Beaubien Metro is leaking.

In recent days, water has been dripping from the walls of the station onto the platform and escalators.

STM spokesperson Amélie Régis said firefighters will spray a special colouring agent this morning to try to locate the source of the leak.

Régis said the leak had stopped by Friday afternoon.

The station was closed last summer for a $4.3-million facelift, including a new ventilation shaft, new stairs, new lighting and repairs to the floors and walls on the train platforms.

The station was re-opened in September while renovations continued.

Opened in 1966, the STM says Beaubien Metro station sees 3.6 million passengers a year.
