Riding history

Fabre has been a bellwether riding since 1970, almost always voting for the winning party.

It was former premier Bernard Landry's seat in the Quebec National Assembly when he was first elected for the PQ in 1976 and the riding of Parti Québécois cabinet minister Joseph Facal from 1994 to 2003.

PQ support has been declining in the electoral district ever since Facal's 2003 defeat.
