For more than 20 years, the Bloc Québécois's Gilles Duceppe held the central Montreal riding of Laurier—Sainte-Marie. Last federal election, the party not only saw its seats diminished in parliament, it saw Duceppe fall to the NDP candidate, Hélène Laverdière.

After resigning on election night in 2011, Duceppe is now mounting a comeback. But most voters we spoke with told us his return is not a factor in their decision this time around.
