News that Carey Price will be sidelined for at least six weeks with a lower-body injury understandably didn't sit well with Habs fans — though some tried to put a positive spin on the development.

Price, last year's league MVP, had been dealing with an unspecified nagging injury for weeks.

The Montreal Canadiens made the announcement Monday.

Price's injury was met with despair from many Habs fans. But on CBC Montreal's Facebook page, some tried to find the silver lining.

Fans also took to Twitter to share their unhappiness.

Not everybody thinks the news is that dire, with one fan pointing out that backup Mike Condon has played well.

Another suggested Price would now have the time to dress up as Santa Claus, with his injured teammate Brendan Gallagher helping out as well.
