Frequently Asked Questions

We've answered the most common queries in our list of Frequently Asked Questions below.

If you still can't find the answer you're looking for, please use our Contact Form. Due to the large volume of messages received, we will not be able to respond to all messages.

  • Where can I watch/listen to past episodes of CBC Quebec programs?

CBC Radio: You can listen to episodes or segments of our radio shows on the CBC Listen Page.

CBC Television: CBC recently changed where and how you can access local CBC News newscasts online. Please note that we no longer publish the newscast online for on-demand viewing. You can now watch CBC Montreal News free on CBC GEM, cbc.ca/montreal, the CBC News App and on the CBC Quebec FAST channel. Our newscasts air at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. Monday to Friday and at 6 p.m. on Saturdays and 11 pm on Sundays.  The 6 p.m. newscast also repeats on our CBC Quebec FAST channel weeknights at 7 and 8 pm. The link to our FAST channel is easy to find at the top of the video carousel in cbc.ca/Montreal and on the CBC News App. The FAST channel is also available on an increasing number of streaming partners platforms.

We do post some interviews and videos from the local newscast online and you can find them at cbc.ca/montreal and on the CBC Quebec Youtube channel.

  • Can I get transcripts, tapes, CDs, and/or DVDs of programs?

Transcripts for many radio programs are available on CBC.ca This FAQ shows what and where. Unfortunately, written transcripts are not available for regional/local radio programs.

In some cases, archived material may be available to order or license. Please note that fees and conditions may apply. Visit this page for more details.

  • How do I get a CBC Quebec personality to attend my event?

If you would like a CBC Quebec personality to attend your event, please fill out our request form.

**Please note that this form is for organizations wishing to have a moderator, host or panellist at their event, not to have a journalist cover an event. To request media coverage, please e-mail assignmentmontreal@cbc.ca

  • Can I tour the CBC Montreal building?

Yes. Find information about our tours here.

  • How can I request a PSA?

The CBC recognizes the importance for the well-being of the community of many social, charitable and artistic activities. Therefore, it makes available to qualifying private and public organizations a limited amount of free time to assist them in promoting their public service aims and objectives. Because of the partisan nature of political organizations, their activities do not qualify for public service time.

The criteria used in accepting qualifying organizations, and the criteria governing acceptance of announcements from such organizations, can be found here.
