CASA's 50th anniversary - CBC was there!
Organization serves the English-speaking community in the Baie-des-Chaleurs

CBC Quebec recently traveled to New Carlisle, Que., to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Committee for Anglophone Social Action (CASA), a community organization in the Baie-des-Chaleurs that works to build and strengthen the vitality of the region's English‑speaking population.

Formed in 1975, CASA develops programs that meet the needs of the English-speaking community living on the Gaspé coast. Originally formed to protect the rights of Anglophones in the area, CASA now offers 30 different programs across many different sectors such as youth and employment, equitable access to health and social services and programs that assist seniors in maintaining health and autonomy.
