CBC Montreal heads to Park Ex
What issues matter in your community? We want to hear from you!
Thank you to everyone who took the time to meet with us during our Park Ex Community Bureau. To see the stories that have come out of this initiative, visit cbc.ca/helloparkex. |
From April 26 to May 13, CBC Montreal journalist Jennifer Yoon is making community connections and gathering story ideas from English speakers living in Parc-extension, known to many as Park Ex.
What issues matter in your community? Do you know someone with a story worth telling? What concerns and hopes do you have for the future of this region?
This is an opportunity to connect with a CBC journalist and have an informal chat about whatever you'd like them to know about your area of Montreal.
How to reach us
Jennifer is eager to meet people in the community to talk about what they do, what stories or issues matter most to them and what they want from CBC.
Jennifer will be working out of the Park Ex library, located at 421 St-Roch Street in Montreal, from April 26 until May 14. Her hours will vary depending on what stories she is working on, but we will update all dates and times here when they become available.
If you have a story idea or event you'd like Jennifer to cover, please email us at mtlcomm@cbc.ca.
If you would like to book a time for yourself or your organization to chat virtually or in person with Jennifer, please email us at mtlcomm@cbc.ca, and we will work with you to set up a time.
Meet your Park Ex journalist: Jennifer Yoon
Jennifer Yoon was born in Suwon, South Korea. She immigrated to Canada as a pre-teen, with her parents. The family initially settled in Surrey, B.C.
Jennifer ended up coming to Montreal in 2013, where she fell in love with the city and its people. She has lived in Montreal ever since, while her parents settled in Toronto, where they now own a convenience store.
She started working at CBC Montreal in 2018, as a radio show researcher. She has since made radio documentaries, written for the CBC News website, produced radio shows and reported the news on television and radio.
When she's not out and about meeting new people, you can find Jennifer looking for good food, befriending the neighbourhood cat or exploring the city of Montreal.
