CBC Montreal welcomes visitors for Culture Day
Kim's Convenience cast, CBC personalities on site to talk with visitors on Oct. 1
On Sunday, October 1, CBC Montreal is welcoming visitors as part of Culture Days.
Now in its 21st year, Culture Days is a national collaborative movement to raise the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities.
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., step into the world of Canada's public broadcaster as CBC/Radio-Canada opens its doors to the public.
Explore how the stories of Montreal come to life at the CBC Open House. Visit the radio studio where Daybreak, Radio Noon, Homerun and All in a Weekend are produced. Meet local CBC personalities Debra Arbec, Mike Finnerty, Shawn Apel, Sean Henry, Nantali Indongo, Sarah Leavitt and Sonali Karnick.
Stop by the CBC Digital Lounge to meet CBC Kids characters Scout from Scout & the Gumboot Kids and Ceebee. Plus attend a screening of CBC hit show Kim's Convenience then stick around to meet the cast as part of the show's cross-country, all-star, red carpet, sneak-preview screening tour.
The Kim's Convenience Screenings will take place at 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.in Telecino A.
The cast meet-and-greets will take place from 11-12 and 1-2 p.m. in the CBC Montreal space on level B. Admission is free and there will be guides to help you find your way. Please note that tickets to the Kim's Convenience screenings and meet-and-greet are not required for the Montreal stop.
CBC Culture Days
When: Sunday, Oct 1 from 10 - 3 p.m.
Where: CBC Radio Canada (1400 Réné-Levesque East).
Details: Admission is free. The event is self-guided, but there will be staff onsite to show you where to go.
