Food trucks to roll out in downtown Montreal this summer
Starting on June 20, food trucks will hit the streets of Montreal.
Food trucks will be hitting the streets of Montreal just in time for the summer season.
The City of Montreal is implementing a street-food pilot project starting on June 20.
Local foodies will be able to satisfy their cravings at trucks set up at about a dozen sites in the Ville-Marie borough. The exact locations have not been released.
For the time being, the street food will come from either restaurant owners or caterers already established in the Montreal food scene.
"The time has come for Montreal to join the ranks of the major cities of the world which allow street food," said Mayor Michael Applebaum.
