Funeral for Jean Lapierre, 5 family members to take place Friday, April 8
Jean Lapierre, his wife and 3 siblings will share funeral with father Raymond Lapierre on Magdalen Islands
A joint funeral for six members of the Lapierre family will take place Friday, April 8 on the Magdalen Islands.
Former cabinet minister and political commentator Jean Lapierre, his wife Nicole Beaulieu and three of his siblings – Marc, Louis and Martine – died along with two pilots in a plane crash on their way to the funeral for Raymond Lapierre, their father, last Tuesday.
Now the funeral mass for Raymond Lapierre will include four of his five children, along with his son Jean's wife.

A commemorative mass has also been scheduled in Montreal the following week
That mass will take place Saturday, April 16 at 11 a.m. at St-Viateur d'Outremont Church.
There will be a visitation at Complexe Funeraire Mont-Royal in Outremont the preceding day, April 15, between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m.
On the Magdalen Islands
The funeral mass on the Magdalen Islands will take Église du Bassin, in the small town where the Lapierre family grew up, on Amherst Island.
There will be a visitation April 7, the preceding afternoon and evening, at the Leblanc funeral home in Cap-aux-Meules.
