Audrey and Noemi Belanger, ages 20 and 25, were found dead earlier this month at a beach resort in the Phi Phi islands.

The funeral is scheduled for this afternoon near Pohénégamook, in eastern Quebec where the pair grew up.

The priest presiding over the funeral says it will be sombre ceremony and an opportunity to reflect on the sisters' lives.

Police have said the women didn't appear to have been murdered and evidence suggests they may have been accidentally poisoned.

Autopsies have been performed but their uncle has said it's unclear when the family might have a definite answer on what caused the death.
