Jacques Parizeau public visitations take place this weekend
People in Montreal, Quebec City can pay their final respects to the former Quebec premier
Members of the public are invited to pay tribute to former Quebec premier Jacques Parizeau this weekend, when he will lie in state in Montreal and Quebec City.
On Saturday, people can pay their respects in Montreal at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, located at 1000 Place Jean-Paul-Riopelle in Old Montreal. Doors are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
On Sunday, Parizeau will lie in state in Quebec City. Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the council chamber of the National Assembly.
Parizeau died on June 1 at the age of 84.

People are invited to sign an online book of condolences.
Parizeau's state funeral will take place on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Saint-Germain-D'Outremont Church in Montreal.
Until then, the Quebec flag will fly at half-mast on the central tower of the Hôtel du Parlement, on all provincial and municipal public buildings, as well as on Quebec office buildings across Canada.
