Jacques Parizeau state funeral to be held in Montreal next week
Funeral for former PQ premier will take place on Tuesday, June 9 at Saint-Germain-D’Outremont church
The state funeral for former Quebec premier Jacques Parizeau will take place on Tuesday June 9 at 2 p.m. at Saint-Germain-D'Outremont church in Montreal.
Parizeau died on Monday, June 1 at the age of 84.

Quebec Premier Philippe Couillard issued a statement late Wednesday night with the details.
Public visitations will take place this weekend.
In Montreal, people can pay their respects on Saturday June 6, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, which is located at 1000 Place Jean-Paul-Riopelle in Old Montreal.
On Sunday, Parizeau's body will lie in state in Quebec City. Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the council chamber of the National Assembly.
There is also an online book of condolences that people can sign.
Couillard said the Quebec flag will fly half-mast on the central tower of the Hôtel du Parlement, on all provincial and municipal public buildings, as well as on Quebec office buildings across Canada until the day of Parizeau's funeral.
