Jean-François Lisée, a longtime Parti Québécois insider and former cabinet minister under Pauline Marois, says he's not ready to decide whether to run for the leadership of the party.

Lisée, the MNA for Rosemont, told reporters Tuesday in Quebec City that "he's still in a period of reflection."

PQ MNA Véronique Hivon is so far the only person to officially enter the race. She announced her bid on Monday.

Alexandre Cloutier, another former cabinet minister, is expected to declare his candidacy later this week.

Veteran PQ MNA Sylvain Gaudreault is serving as interim leader.

Party members will elect a new leader next fall.

Pierre Karl Péladeau quit his post as PQ leader last week.
