Man captures spectacular video of moose in Gaspésie National Park
'This is definitely the most special and the most intense moment I've experienced,' videographer says
Éric Deschamps got a special surprise during a walk in the Gaspésie National Park on Nov. 1.
Deschamps spent two hours observing four moose on Mont Ernest-Laforce.
"This is definitely the most special and the most intense moment I've experienced in my life," he said.
He had his video camera with him and captured the moment, later sharing it online.
The video he posted on Facebook has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times.
"I took a moment to understand what was happening," he said, "I realized that I was not in danger."
Pascal Lévesque, director of Gaspésie park, said visitors revelling in this kind of moment is what makes his job special.
"That's why we work," he said.
He emphasized, however, that it's important to keep a safe distance from wild animals in the park.
