Provincial police officers in Quebec have arrested a suspect in the killing of Lucille Morin, who died in 1991.

Francis Mulrey, 50, was arrested in Laval on Tuesday and appeared in court on Wednesday. He is facing a second-degree murder charge.

Mulrey is accused of beating 69-year-old Morin with a heavy, blunt object on Aug. 9, 1991 inside her St-Jean-sur-Richelieu apartment.
