Montreal marijuana enthusiasts celebrate 4/20 on Mont-Royal

Montreal marijuana enthusiasts congregated at the Sir Georges-Étienne Cartier monument on Mont-Royal Sunday afternoon to partake in a popular event called, simply, 4/20.

The term "4/20" is used in popular culture to signify marijuana and its usage. People around the world light up on April 20 as a result.

In Montreal, warm Sunday afternoons on the mountain are generally reserved for the tam-tams, and so the drums were going as people met up to observe the annual happening.
