Police arrest suspect after deadly stabbing in Montréal-Nord

Montreal police say officers were called around 5 a.m. to the corner of Charleroi Street and Lacordaire Boulevard, where they found the victim unconscious. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.

A 41-year-old man has died after being stabbed early Sunday in Montréal-Nord.

Montreal police say officers were called around 5 a.m. to the corner of Charleroi Street and Lacordaire Boulevard, where they found the victim unconscious. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.

A 40-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

Major crimes investigators with the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal are handling the case.

Police say it marks the 17th homicide on the island of Montreal this year.
