A man, 89, and woman, 97, were seriously injured after being hit by a car in a Montreal shopping centre parking lot Thursday.
Montreal police say a 911 call at around 3:15 p.m. alerted authorities to the incident in the Place Vertu parking lot on Côte-Vertu Boulevard in the borough of Saint-Laurent.
The driver, in his 60s, was moving his vehicle when he struck the two pedestrians. They were transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries, police say.
Friday, police said the pedestrians' condition improved and their lives are not in danger.
The driver was not injured and stayed at the scene until police arrived.
The investigation is ongoing.
