After years of delays, Montreal's bus terminal has moved from its former home on de Maisonneuve Boulevard to a new location on Berri Street.

The new station occupies part of the long-empty Îlot Voyageur, a failed project launched by the Université du Québec à Montréal. Along with the bus terminal, the university had originally planned to build student residences in the building.

However, after years of planning and millions of dollars in government investments, that project remains incomplete.

The Quebec government bought the site last year, but has not revealed its plans for the rest of the building.
