Fresh off his performance at Osheaga on Friday, British musician Passenger decided to serenade a Montreal crowd for free in the Quartier de Spectacles.

Setting up at the corner of Clark and Ste-Catherine streets, the former busker, whose real name is Michael David Rosenberg, played some of his best hits including "Let Her Go" and "Holes."

"There's something really incredible about doing this," he told the crowd.

"There's a sort of honesty about it. I don't know, it's real."

And if their singing is any indication, the crowd loved having the musician be so up close and personal.

Passenger will be back to play a show at the Metropolis in March 2017.
