PK Subban surprises street hockey game in Westmount

A group of kids were playing street hockey in Westmount yesterday when they were joined by a surprise guest — P.K. Subban. 

Eight-year-old Jack Fraser, who plays forward for the novice-level Westmount Wings, happened to be suited up as a goalie at the time, giving him a major thrill.

A video posted to YouTube shows Fraser even managed to stop a few Subban slapshots and a nifty breakaway move.

In an interview on CBC Montreal's Daybreak, the youngster described the experience as "awesome" and "cool."

Jack's father Aaron Fraser said he didn't believe it when he first heard Subban was on the street. He's still not sure what prompted the visit.

"I was in my house and my oldest son came running over and said, 'You have to come, P.K.'s on the street," he said.

"I didn't believe him at first, and I actually expected to get pelted with water balloons."

A very special guest dropped by to play street hockey with Aaron Fraser, his 8-year-old son Jack, and other kids in Westmount--none other than Canadiens player P.K. Subban!

Fraser said a black SUV pulled up and Subban and a friend got out and he told everyone, "let's play some street hockey."

Subban stayed for about five minutes and posed for photos with people in the neighbourhood.
