Quebec comedy duo mock language flap with Pastagate: The Song
Today CBC goes behind the scenes with musical comedy duo George Bowser and Rick Blue, to hear their topical song: Pastagate.
In the song, the artists mock the controversy over the province's language watchdog, recently asking an Italian restaurant in Montreal to translate the word 'pasta' on its menu. The government office since withdrew the request.

The Montreal-based musicians are an important example of Quebec's lively anglophone heritage – and a recent EKOS poll commissioned by CBC suggests most Anglo-Quebecers agree that culture is an important part of the province's history.
The majority of respondents,88 per cent, said it is important to protect English language and culture in Quebec.
Tonight, CBC airs a special report on those results in the final episode of CBC Montreal's Living English series.
Watch CBC reporter Joanne Vrakas' report on Quebec's English culture, tonight at 6 p.m.
The EKOS poll results are based on a telephone survey conducted between Jan. 15 and Jan. 23 with a random sample of 1,001 anglophone Quebecers.
The margin of error is +/- 3.1 per cent, 19 times out of 20.
