Health Minister Gaétan Barrette says the province is launching an online tool which will connect patients with family doctors.
Under Bill 20, Barrette promised that 85 per cent of Quebecers will have family doctors by Dec. 31, 2017.
That promise was made in an agreement signed with the Fédération des médecins omnipraticiens du Québec last May.
The database — launched yesterday — can be found here.
This tool will replace the other databases that were in place before Bill 20 abolished the various social services and health centres.
Those people already in databases will keep their priority, however.
