Quebec road accidents lead to 9 deaths over holidays
Residential fires across the province also claim 3 lives
Holiday road accidents claimed the lives of nine people across Quebec from Dec. 24 to Jan. 3.
Two fatal accidents happened over the holiday season in Sherbrooke. A man, 48, died on Highway 10 and a separate collision between two vehicles led to the death of a 30-year-old woman.

A 22-year-old woman died in a head-on collision in Saguenay on New Year's Eve. Witnesses say her car deviated from her lane into oncoming traffic.
In Saint-Hilarion, in the Charlevoix region, a woman died after an accident between two vans.
Two people died in a car crash on Les Escoumins Sunday morning. A third person was injured when one of the vehicles caught fire.
All accidents were on the territory of the Sûreté du Québec.
Three people have also died in residential fires since Christmas Eve including two seniors who died in the Rosemont-La Petite Patrie borough on New Year's Eve.
