Woman could face hit-and-run charge after pedestrian struck in Villeray

Montreal police say a 51-year-old woman may face hit-and-run charges after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Villeray.

Montreal police say a 51-year-old woman may face hit-and-run charges after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Villeray.

It happened at the intersection of St-Denis and Jarry streets at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Montreal police Const. Jean-Pierre Brabant says a 70-year-old man was taken to hospital.

Brabant said the man "is still in critical condition but he is stabilized."

The woman may face a charge of hit-and-run causing bodily harm.
