Frequently Asked Questions
- Where can I watch/listen to past episodes of CBC New Brunswick programs?
CBC Radio: You can listen to episodes or segments of our radio shows on the CBC Listen Page.
CBC Television: Please note that we no longer publish the newscast online for on-demand viewing. You can now watch CBC New Brunswick News free on CBC GEM, cbc.ca/newbrunswick, the CBC News App and on the CBC New Brunswick FAST channel. Our newscasts air at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. Monday to Friday and at 7 p.m. on Saturdays and 11 pm on Sundays. The 6 p.m. newscast also repeats on our CBC New Brunswick FAST channel. The link to our FAST channel is easy to find at the top of the video carousel in cbc.ca/newbrunswick and on the CBC News App. The FAST channel is also available on an increasing number of streaming partners platforms.
We do post some interviews and videos from the local newscast online and you can find them at cbc.ca/newbrunswick.
- Can I get transcripts, tapes, CDs, and/or DVDs of programs?
Transcripts for many radio programs are available on CBC.ca This FAQ shows what and where.
In some cases, archived material may be available to order or license. Please note that fees and conditions may apply. Visit this page for more details.
- How do I suggest an idea or pose a question to a local show?
Send an email to the appropriate program. The contact information for each program can be found above.
- How do I suggest an idea or pose a question to a national show?
Information about how to connect with CBC News regional and national desks can be found in the CBC Help Centre.
- How do I find out about jobs at the CBC?
Click on Jobs at the bottom of any page on the CBC.ca site
- How can I request a PSA?
The CBC recognizes the importance for the well-being of the community of many social, charitable and artistic activities. Therefore, it makes available to qualifying private and public organizations a limited amount of free time to assist them in promoting their public service aims and objectives. Because of the partisan nature of political organizations, their activities do not qualify for public service time. The criteria used in accepting qualifying organizations, and the criteria governing acceptance of announcements from such organizations, can be found here.
- I have a CD that I would like you to play. Where do I send it?
If you are a musician and wish to submit original songs for airplay on CBC networks, send them to the CBC Music Library by email to music.library@cbc.ca. More information here.
If you have any other questions or concerns, please contact Darrow MacIntyre, Executive Producer of News for CBC New Brunswick at (506) 451-4080 or by email at darrow.macintyre@cbc.ca
