The former owner of a daycare in Memramcook has asked for a trial by judge and jury on 15 charges of assault.

The former owner of a daycare in Memramcook has asked for a trial by judge and jury on 15 charges of assault.

Celine Lang, 56, is accused of assaulting three children and one employee at the La Couvee de la Vallee daycare in Memramcook.

She is facing 15 charges of using inappropriate physical means to discipline 12 children. 

She is also alleged to have assaulted an employee with a flower pot.

The incidents are all alleged to have occurred between July and September of 2014.

One week has been set aside for a preliminary inquiry which will begin on Sept. 14.

Lang was represented by her lawyer in court on Tuesday. She was not in court.
