Charles LeBlanc blog shutdown at City of Fredericton request
City says the blog contained inaccurate and harmful content involving Fredericton Police.

The City of Fredericton has further explained why it asked Google to shut down the website of Charles LeBlanc.
It says the blogger inferred that some police officers are pedophiles, then refused to take down the posts.
When the blog disappeared earlier this week, even Premier David Alward expressed sympathy and said he looked forward to its return.
Chris MacPherson with the City of Fredericton says he asked Google to take down the blog, saying it contained inaccurate and harmful content involving Fredericton Police.
“So our employees in the last couple of years, have been referred to as pedophiles, there's been comments about their race,” he says.
I’m just shooting back what they did to me.- Charles LeBlanc
The conflict is said to have started in 2012 when officers seized a computer at LeBlanc’s home. A later independent review showed police misused a request form for the raid. They used one reserved for child exploitation offences. No charges were laid against LeBlanc.
“I’m just shooting back what they did to me,” he says. “They're the one that started this. Not me.”
LeBlanc says he would have taken the posts down had police apologized, something force says it has done.
LeBlanc says he already has a new website, sponsored by an anonymous donor.
