Don Comeau shows off massive Hot Wheels collection
Quispamsis man has an unopened Hot Wheels collection that's worth thousands of dollars
Don Comeau's basement is a child's dream.
"When I was a kid I remember going through the Christmas catalogue, Sears, and I wanted everything," said Don Comeau.
"All the cars and the toys and the little stations. I remember that like yesterday."
Comeau finds new cars wherever he can. He finds them in yard sales as well as toy stores. If he likes the car, he buys it and adds it to the collection.
He knows what some are worth individually and all together, Comeau said the collection is worth thousands of dollars.
"I wouldn't open one if I had 10 of the same ones. I wouldn't open them," said Don Comeau.
It's no surprise Comeau's two youngest grandchildren, Jack and Tyler, visit him a lot. They have their favourites, but they also know the rules. They don't open them.
Comeau has actually had nightmares about it.
"I've dreamt about kids coming in and stealing them more times than enough," said Comeau.
Comeau has other types of toy cars, but mostly it's Hot Wheels.
"I just got one the other day," said Comeau.
