Memramcook daycare operator charged with assaulting children, worker

A Memramcook woman has been charged with five counts of assault involving three children and one adult, according to the RCMP.

A Memramcook woman has been charged with five counts of assault involving three children and one adult, according to the RCMP.

The RCMP say the 56-year-old woman, who was charged on Dec. 1, is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 11.

The alleged incidents happened at La Couvée de La Vallée inc.​ daycare on Lavallée Road between July and September, according to the police.

RCMP allege that there was “inappropriate physical means taken to discipline three children at the daycare.”

As well, the police say one adult employee was physically assaulted while attending or working at the daycare.

The Memramcook daycare is not currently operating.

RCMP say the investigation is continuing and additional charges have not been ruled out.
