Rain will begin Monday morning and continue into the night, according to the forecast. Between 30 and 60 millimetres of rain is expected for Fredericton, Saint John, Charlotte County, Woodstock and Carleton County.

The rain is expected to move east throughout Monday and arrive in south-central New Brunswick Monday evening.

"By the time the precipitation ends, the heaviest amounts are expected to be along the Fundy Coast," Environment Canada stated in the warning.

The rain will combine with melting snow. The statement says heavy rainfall can cause flash flooding.
