Join CBC, the Yukon Arts Centre and the Yukon University for Active Voice, an evening of thoughtful discussion and storytelling in Whitehorse.

Active Voice brings voices and opinions from far and wide to the Yukon to broaden the understanding of those in attendance.

This year, the conversation is between host Ivan Coyote and Tanya Talaga. Tanya is a writer and journalist who has been in the industry for 20 years and has several books and docu-series to her name, such as the CBC series The Knowing

The topic of conversation is Tanya Talaga's new book, also titled The Knowing. It focuses on her family's experience with the residential school system.

The event will take place at 7 p.m. on Nov. 26 at the Yukon Arts Centre's main stage.
