Join CBC and True North Rotary as we return for a Friendship Breakfast

CBC North Yellowknife is teaming up with True North Rotary for the annual Friendship Breakfast on Friday, July 12

Friendship Breakfast begins at 6:30 a.m. Friday, July 12

CBC North Yellowknife is teaming up with True North Rotary for the annual Friendship Breakfast on Friday, July 12.

The aim is to break down barriers and misunderstandings of people experiencing homelessness in the city. The organizations are also gathering donations for shelters in town.

Items people can donate include: soap, razors, shaving cream, travel toothbrushes, socks, summer shoes, feminine hygiene products, decks of cards, games, books (crime, mystery, northern and Indigenous authors), pyjamas, sweats, T-shirts, boxers, bras, games and sewing supplies.

The event will be held at Somba K'e Park at 6:30 a.m.

Breakfast sandwiches and coffee will be served.
