The Northern Journalism Training Initiative (NJTI) is back with its annual open house looking to broaden the understanding of journalism in the North.

This year, the open house will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Sundog Trading Post on Nov. 27 in Yellowknife.

Alongside the coffee, tea and appetizers, there will be the chance to meet and talk with those behind the NJTI, such as instructors, staff and the steering committee.

Learn about the initiative's upcoming courses in 2025 and share your own thoughts on journalism in the North.

The NJTI focuses on providing journalism training opportunities to Indigenous and northern communities. Amplifying the voices of the north, the NJTI helps prepare those who take its courses to enter the dynamic world of journalism.
