Deadly day for teenagers on N.S. highways
Two teenagers are dead and a third is seriously injured after a pair of separate crashes on Nova Scotia’s roadways Wednesday.
Halifax police said a 17-year-old from Bedford died after he lost control of his motorcycle on Highway 102 near the Kearney Lake Road ramp around 8 p.m.
Investigators said he was thrown from the bike and taken to hospital where he later died.
That crash came just a few hours after another teenager died in the Annapolis Valley.
RCMP said a car left the road and struck a tree in Cambridge Station. The driver died and another teenager was airlifted to Halifax.
Both victims are male – one 17 years old, the other 18 years old.
The names of the people involved have not been released.
