Children's Wish Foundation warns of scam

The Children's Wish Foundation has alerted police about a scam in the Halifax region.

It says someone has gone door-to-door to offices and restaurants in the Burnside area, playing guitar and singing songs while asking for donations.

The Children's Wish Foundation says it has not given anyone permission to do this and does not solicit money this way.

The foundation grants wishes to young people with life threatening conditions. 

The group says actual representatives will soon be raising money as part of the charity’s ugly Christmas sweater holiday campaign, but they’ll be carrying a letter of authentication.
